The IMPACTS project, led by the University of California, Davis, develops data-driven tools to help hospitals manage sudden increases in patient demand. Funded through the National Disaster Medical System and sponsored by the Defense Health Agency, the project evaluates how a scalable Modular Surge Facility can expand inpatient capacity and improve patient flow, resource allocation, and hospital preparedness during emergencies.
